Rob Benwell’s Blogging Espionage Review – I Smell a Refund! pt 2

Monday, June 28th, 2010

Okay, I just skimmed quickly through the course and the tactics in there do seem a bit confusing, but maybe it’s because I went through it fast! (Have to get to the day-job :( )

It is looking like it will take waaay more than 7 days to start making money from, more like 3 weeks in my estimation. I’m assuming so because of the research involved and needing the approval of program owners to complete the course-task.

I’m just disappointed Rob made false promises on the salespage, I mean c’mon! You are an established blogger and didn’t really need all that false hype on the salespage.

All that don’t matter now ‘cos like R. Branson said… “Screw It, Let’s Do It!

Rob Benwell’s Blogging Espionage Review – I Smell a Refund! pt 1

Monday, June 28th, 2010

On the high recommendation of Michael Dunlop, I just purchased the new pdf course from Rob Benwell, established blogger and entrepreneur called “Blogging Espionage”.

They say you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover… but we all do it unconsciously whether we like it or not anyway. The graphics on the salespage and e-book cover are bad-ass! So bad-ass infact that I smell a refund because when I’ve bought e-books like this in the past, I almost always ended up getting a refund. Its like some of these internet entrepreneurs feel really cool graphics are adequate enough compensation for a sh*te product. That is NOT to say Blogging Espionage is, just speaking from past experience here.

Quoting from the salespage of the course, it says:

“…By this time next week you’ll be quitting your day job for good after seeing this powerful system for even just a single week.

At least that’s the part that sold me on the product anyway. Super Affiliates say the secret to successful recommendation is buying, using, shaking and lighting the product on fire before asking your audience to try it out from your affiliate link. They say you are more likely to promote the product from a more original, interesting place and your review is likely to be more beneficial to the audience.

Well after 7 days from today, Rob is either going to make a raving fan out of me, or refund me the cost of the product plus the $100 guarantee as promised on the salespage.

I’m posting no links to the product cos I haven’t looked at it yet. Check this space 7 days from now – as prescribed by the salespage – for my final conclusion on the product.

To your success!

Are you a tactic junkie? vs How to Start an Online Business

Thursday, June 17th, 2010

It was late 2007. Broadband either wasn’t very popular or too expensive so for one of those reasons, we were still using dial-up at home.

Late 2007 is when I got the idea into my head to try to make money online. There was not as much information then about how to start an online business out there as there is now, but there was still PLENTY of information.

I became an addict.

Consuming all that content – i.e. internet marketing tactics, videos, articles, streaming audio etc – on a dial-up connection meant very high network provider charges.

High charges meant I always got a verbal spanking from mama who paid the bills, haha. Sorry mum. :)

The problem with being a “tactic junkie” is that you learn more secrets, methods, formulas etc but you never actually start anything because you get soo overwhelmed with all that information available out there. Especially when you are new to internet marketing.

Case in point, I started “tactic-consumption” in 2007 and this is my first (in 2010), proper attempt at creating value to make money online. Suffered analysis-paralysis for 3 years!

But the upside of having this addiction is you have something of a road-map that you can use and possibly share with others when analysis-paralysis is worn out. You are not as confused as the thousands who come online everyday looking for how to make money.

This clarity leads me to share how I would start a niche online business or how I would advice someone who asked me how to start one. Before writing this, I did a quick google search on “starting an online business” and became seriously depressed.

It’s like (unconsciously I hope), they were setting newbies up for a lot of stress. Don’t get me wrong, the writers of the information available out there are applauded because what they provide is very valuable, but I thought they were all missing something at the beginning. Even before Niche Research.

So here’s the REAL way I think newbies like me, should go about starting their online businesses.

I guess the point I was trying to come to which may not have come across in the post is that consuming tactics are all well and good but you need a plan of how you will select and use those tactics that you’ve learnt to reach your goals. This is called a Strategy. This blog is  the surface of the strategy we’re employing at Digitalbizshop.

So take all you have learnt so far – if you’ve been a tactic-addict – and construct a plan around it. Decide today, right now even, on how you are going to select some of the stuff in your head/computer memory and use it to make money online.

To your wealth!

Beating procrastination to a pulp!

Sunday, June 13th, 2010

Yep, procrastination.

That Jezebel that dresses herself up in many beautifully-colored garbs and exotic perfume as she saunters oh so lightly towards you whilst almost whispering as seductively as you’ve ever heard: “Just one more e-book, you know you cannot make the right move without watching that video, a quick sign-up can’t hurt, just get that one, last bloggers’ guide and it’ll tell you EVERYTHING you’ve always wanted to know about starting your business right now”. (insert seductive wink here).

My eyes only just cleared tonight… that treacherous b*tch. This blog should have started 2 weeks ago if she wasn’t so damn sweet to listen to :( . But now, the team here is in control. We have decided to just browse the internet marketing forums, pick out the common problems people are having on there, look for solutions and point those same people back to the solution on the blog.

Simple as that.

No fancy, schmancy niche-topic research, no waiting to buy the right theme to make this blog look cooler than others, none of that crap! We’ll just deliver the good stuff straight to your screens, served hot and fresh off our keyboards.

It’ll still be the hub of a network of blogs as explained in the last post.

And without further ado, here’s a video that I think is valuable to every business person. Online or off. It is Frank Kern’s Core Influence presentation at one of Rich Schefren’s seminars. You should watch it even though it is long.

Very long. 118 minutes long infact. You should listen to him because he has made $360k in 9 minutes as he’ll prove to you in the video.

Contained in this video is Frank’s secret weapon that has helped him successfully combine excitement, happiness and his love for internet-marketing together. The strategy in it will help you identify your core self and that of your “actual/correct” customers so you can easily attract and effortlessly sell them your product/service and enjoy your business at the same time.

Here’s the link: Frank Kern’s Core Influence Presentation. Frank uses very colorful language i.e. profanity in this presentation, so if you are squeamish, well…, that’s the price you sometimes have to pay for great and free education hehe.

My Core Influence at this moment in time is enjoying the process of learning all there is to know about internet marketing. I will forever be a newbie and there will always be newcomers into this industry. Hence, I will always have an audience I can relate with and sell stuff to.

Find out what your Core Influence is today ;) .

Best Wishes,

Dapo.

New Stuff!

Friday, June 4th, 2010

Hi to all the many many many followers (5 in total including me hehe) who read the first post. I am honored.

I’ll be quick. The vision for DGS has been altered slightly. We are designing it to play host to the network of niche blogs we are going to be adding in the future.

I was inspired to do this after John Reese’s pre-launch free content giveaway on outsourcing, his OutsourceForce program. I was so excited about this idea that when the free videos were taken down (as is usual with internet product launches) and became replaced with the “We’re now closed for registration” page, I got onto John’s support staff and begged them to put up that video that clicked on the light-bulb in my head. They kindly agreed to put all the free videos back up which seriously surprised, but pleased me nonetheless. You guys are AWESOME :)

Here’s the link to the video,  http://www.outsourceforce.com/the-big-six. For now, I receive no commissions if you sign up and/or buy the product.

The idea is to create one niche blog after the other filled with very good content and to monetise those blogs using adsense and affiliate marketing and maybe banner ads. It is then hoped that outsourced workers will handle all the techie stuff like going out and finding people who might like our content and direct them to our blogs, Search Engine Optimization management, social media network managment e.g. running facebook, myspace, twitter accounts etc. Which leaves us to focus on writing great interesting content.

Alright, that’s the gist for now, time to get back to work on the idea. Have a great day.
